I think that one of the biggest rules when it comes to TFT is that gold is king. Gold let's you level up, buy units, and roll for upgrades. The strength of your economy is usually the biggest difference maker in terms of your placements. Many top players evaluate board strength based on total gold spent.

However there's a lot of aspects in TFT that aren’t directly tied to gold. Things like augments, item components, anvils, ornn, support, and radiant items, champion duplicators, spatulas and more. As a result, I’ve always wondered if it's actually possible to quantify the value of these things and what the value of different aspects of the game actually are.
